TurfBreeze Fans has been the
most respected name in surface aeration since 1998.
The TurfBreeze
concept was developed to provide airflow on the surface of
golf course greens. TurfBreeze Fans are designed for long throws,
quiet operation and have a durable mechanical design.
The alleviation of heat stress is the primary
reason many golf course superintendents use fans on their
greens. Solar heat can have a devastating effect on turfgrass.
Fan use can lower the surface temperature of a green up
to 10° F, which in turn will lower the soil temperature
approximately 4–6° F. In addition, fan use increases
turfgrass transpiration, which helps cool the plant internally
and keeps it healthier overall. Fans are also used to evaporate
excess moisture, whether it comes from rain, heavy morning
dew, or frost.
